Saturday Sauce: Proofreading, Editing, One Night of Pashun, Kindle Erotica

It’s 6:30am in my part of the world and I realised that I was going to post a blog on Friday about how I am getting on with my first book which I’m uploading to Kindle tomorrow night. I can gladly say that I’m almost there, I’m happy with the content yet I want to put a bit more in the book, so there will be a few extra freestyle stories, erotica that I have not published on the blog.

So far the book is looking like a total of 40 pieces of erotica, I think that is enough to say “This is what I’m about, this is what I do”, consider it a taster, a shape of things to cum…there are a lot of poems, some erotic thoughts and of course some short stories/blog posts. The idea is that the book can be read quickly, not everyone has time to read a novel, although I’m sure at some point in the future I will write a massive full length story.

Although readers of my blog have seen the erotica that I write, I feel that Kindle will help me reach a wider audience, I am also looking into making the blog available via Kindle (we shall see), best of both worlds.

The book cover, mmmm at the moment I have a choice of three, and I will use one for tomorrow and see what response I get and take it from there. My heart is beating extremely fast and I suppose this is an adrenaline rush, this is the place where I have wanted to be for the last 3 years or so, and I can honestly say it feels great.

Tell it Like It Is Thursday: Sex, Erotica, Kindle and Book Covers…Publishing A Book In A Weekend…Sort Of

I’ve not forgotten about the blog, honestly I haven’t…getting to grips with publishing the books on Kindle is taking up most of my time.

Really missing writing the juicy blog posts with tales of femmes, butches, studs and strap on lovers!! But hey, the books will have all of that and more.

As promised, I’ll blog about the process of writing the books, first off I created the book covers with some free software was all raring to go with them until I found out that fuckidy-fuck I can’t use them commercially, was I pissed off, yes I was, in fact highly pissed off. As they in my opinion were bloody good covers, but never say never.

So I’m in the midst of trying to recreate them the best way I can, I’m no artist but it is literally pen, pencils and crayons out!! I’m using an ebook conversion to create the e-books and I’ll blog more about the software when I’ve loaded the first book, but what I can say is the text to speech facility is so handy, just to hear my stories and poetry being read is a bonus. Had a fit of giggles, hearing the words, cock and pussy…yeah I’m mad like that.

The challenge is to have one book uploaded to the Kindle Store by midnight on Sunday 25th September 2011, and the remainder by the middle of October. My eyes are bleary and my spellcheck seems to be picking up the wrong words. Breathe, count to 10. While I want this first book to be totally magnificent, I am so conscious of the fact that I love to procrastinate, the beauty of Kindle is that I can change the covers at a later date.

Knowing me, I probably will, change the book covers, so what does my publishing my erotic stories and poetry mean for the blog?

The blog will have a few changes commencing 18th October 2011, most of the stories featured in the books will no longer be available on the blog, as for the memberships, I’m still working on that, not sure if this is the way I want the blog to go. Having written this blog for almost 3 years, the temptation to go from blogger to writer is huge, but then I tell myself that’s exactly what I’ve been doing all this time, writing.

But I suppose having the books on Kindle will mean more to me I guess.

It’s back to the editing, and I will post another blog entry tomorrow.
